You can just post this as a new comment and then nobody can say shit about the length because case said threads that follow GC are allowed to be as long and spammy as we like. It's where we hold our .gif parties. Just something to keep in mind.

That makes perfectly logical sense but unfortunately the people who make these threads are really, really opposed to the idea and they get really snarky at even the suggestion, for reasons that are completely unknown to my understanding. they seem to view it as some kind of weird insult or something

I remember a few months or so ago somebody accidentally posted a thread outside the GC and then did an informal poll to see if people actually clicked the "page 2" button, which would make that thread visible, or if they just clicked the "general comments" link, which would not.

An overwhelming majority said they just clicked the GC link. So, maybe y'all have awesome .gif parties, but the fact I've never noticed them, combined with that polling, at least speaks to the possibility that posting outside General Comments is not necessarily just as good or better than posting within.

Throw up a link in GC? I dunno. Part of me is pleased at the idea I can hold secretive threads under everyone's nose right on page two tho.
