First: I think I like your brain. :) (Seriously, pay attention to it, it has good taste.)

Second: It's definitely not "too late".

Third: I'm not in this fandom, but I like the movies (Tokyo Drift? What? o.O There's no such a thing.), and I occasionally stumble upon fic (usually I catch up a bit once a year, for maybe a month, and re-read some old favourites, then I let it go), and I really think this fandom is exceptional regarding overall fic-quality.
