I'm always on the lookout for "weird" food combos that people love but aren't really considered "normal".

Here are some of my personal faves:

> Hot chocolate with melted cheese (sometimes used as a "dip" for Italian bread or plain crackers).
> Baked apples and cheese
> Mashedpotatoes and mayonnaise (I always thought this was common, but apparently not).
> Cornflakes in chocolate milk.
> Scrambled eggs and syrup
> Chicken cutlet mixed with fried eggs
> Sweetened eggs (particularly omelettes, sw/ sugar)
> Cream cheese and bacon on plain bagel

How about you?

Cornflakes in chocolate milk are weird? I had no idea...

I'm fond of bacon and peanut butter sandwiches and salad dressing on pizza myself.

Pickles on pepperoni pizza. I don't know who first figured it out, but bless them.

I eat cornflakes with yogurt but I don't find that too weird...
My brother used to eat Bread with sugar and ketchup inside.

Pickles on pizza is one of my favorites that always gets the strangest looks.

I eat peanut butter and pickles sandwiches. I actually didn't think this was weird for most of my life, because it's a weird family thing on my mom's side.

Peanut butter and pickle is one of my favorite sammiches! I used to also eat peanut butter and banana sammiches, which were pretty good, but I can't get bananas anymore because I don't trust myself to eat them in a timely manner.

Also, eggs and hash browns.

I'd add sausage or bacon on that too

Oreo cookies (minus the cream filling) dipped in homemade guacamole. The lazy kind. Just avocados, salsa, and some grated applewood smoked cheddar cheese.

Rotisserie chicken and peach pie filling.

I also like salsa and avocado on baked potatoes.

You've made me curious and now I want to try the oreos in guacamole thing.

Dipping potato chips in ketchup is the best. I don't actually think it's super weird, but I have gotten the side eye for it before.

I do potato chips and mustard. It's the only way I eat potato chips.

Chicken tenders/nuggets and chocolate pudding. I discovered this with cafeteria food in elementary school.

Thought scrambled eggs and syrup was standard eating fare. You know, like scrambled eggs + french toast + syrup = delicious food heaven

Tuna melts with jelly (or grilled cheese with jelly)
Potato chips dipped in hummus

Also, I used to like Goldfish crackers dipped in yogurt.

There's a variation of my invention of an Italian dish with red bell peppers... You sautee them in olive oil with basil and garlic, then you are supposed to caramelize them.

I add the extra step of including a splash of soy sauce at the end, so they aren't sweet but sweet-and-sour.

I love those kind of flavors. Cheese with honey or jam are also a beloved classic of my breakfasts <3

I adore sharp, white cheddar cheese with apple pie. It's a New England thing, but most everyone i've ever met here in the middle of the country think it's weird.

I like to have OJ with my pancakes or french toast or birthday cake.

I bake cheddar into the crust of my apple pies. I didn't actually think it was that unusual? I'd never heard that it was a New England thing, either. I'm from the Midwest and I know quite a few people from the Midwest/South who love the apple + cheddar combo. Then again, we're all big bakers, so that might be skewing things a bit.

I have a habit of combining weird foods...

I discovered fries and jam a while back, and fries in chocolate shakes (thanks to Wendy's), and I've put chocolate sauce on my taquitos (not really strange in theory if you're familiar with Mexican food, but the execution is a little odd, considering it's just Hershey's ice cream syrup and some microwavable taquitos, y'know?). I normally put ranch on pizza, but that's not that weird (is it?) - but when I ran out of ranch, I used mustard instead. Not horrible, but not as good as ranch.

I probably have more, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. Oh - when I moved to New England, I discovered that apparently pork chops with applesauce is a thing? Which is really weird to me, and I don't really like applesauce, so I think I might be considered weird out here for not eating with applesauce...

I don't think cereal and chocolate milk is weird? Nor do I think eggs and syrup a weird combo. But maybe I've just been surrounded by weird my whole life. MY LIFE IS A LIE!

I like cornbread with my spaghetti (with the sauce and all.)

I salt things some people don't, like apples, cantaloupe, watermelon. But I sprinkle sugar on raw carrots sometimes.

And scrambled eggs with ketchup.
