Something weird I realized about this character - how would an Asian end up with the name Watson, unless she was married to a guy with the name, or adopted, or something?

We've seen a photo of her dad (and met her mom and brother) -- her mom is Asian, her dad is Caucasian.

My guess is that her parents last name was Watson, and thus she is also a Watson. It's a pretty far out theory, but I stand by it.

I have two boys in my class who look fully Asian; one's last name is Bruce and the other's is Kerwin. It can't be that uncommon.

One of the Chinese Student Association members I used to be in had the surname Stowe. She liked Family Guy and everybody called her Stewie. I still call her that sometimes when we meet up for lunch.
