Yeah, you're full of it. Most of the anime episodes are almost exactly the same as the strips they're derived from; that makes it pretty boring to watch and read both.

If you want to waste your time on redundancy, go right ahead. Judging youuuuuuuuu~

Not really. The anime is... very different.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-26 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Tell me about some of these differences? Because um... they're really not. Take one of the recent eps: some dude sees France in his gramp's album from waaaaaaaaaay back in the day. Then sees him out in the street.

The strip has no significant differences that I can think of.

The Christmas eps. America and Japan differences. American revolution ep VS strips. Axis Powers' training & England spying ep (11?) VS strips... no difference.

"It's a calender" strip VS ep...

wait... are you going off of the English-dubbed anime? Cause yeah, there are a lot of differences added into it. Maybe that's why I'm kind of going "bwuh?" at this secret.

Not really. The anime is actually significantly different in the approach it takes to some things, and it leaves a lot out.

...Okay, I just looked at those strips. They're really short. Are the episodes just as short, or are they many strips, or what, because I don't think you could turn one of those strips into a normal-length episode without including everything and adding some more.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-26 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
ayrt There are many more strips. A lot of them didn't get included in the anime, including many of the more serious ones and the ones that had a lot of the characterization.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-26 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
ayrt again

The episodes are very short (5 minutes each), but many of them do contain more than one strip.
