Pads. My physician browbeat me into trying tampons after my first pelvic exam didn't go so well, so I did once, but -- pads.

I am guessing the anon above you couldn't handle the speculum well. My gyno suggested tampons too after I was bleeding all over the swabs and stuff from being so, tight? I did what she suggested and used tampons for a while, so painful. Switched back to pads.
