Re: pads or tampons?

(Anonymous) 2013-04-26 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
All my MS/HS friends used tampons but I always refused to because they were scary/icky/etc. I finally decided to give them a try when I was 20 and LOVED it. I'm a pretty heavy bleeder so wearing pads (only to replace them every 2-3 hours/when I used the bathroom) was SUCH a hassle. Not to mention messy. Tampons make everything so much easier. You don't have to worry about bleeding through your undies, or smelling bad, or feeling like you're literally sitting in your own blood.

I can get away with a panty-liner which I never could before, I don't have to change a tampon for up to 7 hrs, and I feel much more flexible.

'Course, finding the right brand/size/etc takes some work, but it's worth it.
