Re: Exercise routine - what's yours?

I've been running on and off for years, and I'm really trying to commit to doing it regularly nowadays. If you have a smartphone there are some awesome running apps that will track your route, let you know how far along you are during the run, track how fast you were going at certain points in your run, and other cool stuff. I've been using Runkeeper which even has "training plans" you can follow.

I also try to stretch a lot after I run, not just in a "warm down" way but also trying to actually get more flexibility, which is an aspect of fitness that is realllly de-emphasized in the public consciousness/most training programs. I can't stand yoga, though, I do a modified version of the stretching I used to do when I was in gymnastics.

I also keep saying that I'll go back to gymnastics one day... I know of one place in my city that does drop-in adult open gym, which I've gone to sometimes, but it's far away and really hard to keep myself motivated with no coach, not having anyone to train with and no competitions to aim for. Hoping to find an adult class to do next year though.

Re. the Couch to 5K thing, it sounds like you're exactly the target market for it, so go for it! :
