I'm with the first anon; there's no way to tell unless we know the specifics here, and it totally will depend on your audience.

Your safest bet is to write something unrelated first, or a couple somethings, but I'd just let it go. Usually when I'm browsing AO3 I only glance at names, and don't really register them. If someone makes a big stink about it, then put up a disclaimer (ex: "In response to several accusations: no, my username is not related to this fic, I apologize for any misunderstandings," etc.), but otherwise don't make trouble for yourself.

I would give the specifics but I really don't want to out myself here. I'll see if I can talk to some friends who don't use F!S or AO3 and see what they think.
