I am trying to connect a friend's laptop to her wifi network but it has been no a-go. And no one has been able to crack this. What are we doing wrong?

option a) restart the wifi modem (plug in and out)

option b) is the security type correct? i have no idea how you can find out, but maybe there's a googleable solution...

We did the option A already. (Three times a lady, even.) Still bumpkis.

Everything checks out. It just won't connect.

Deets about the laptop? Make, model, won't connect to router? I have Windows 7 and if you right click on the connections bars, it'll pop up a window asking troubleshoot problems, and open network and connection center. Have you tried the troubleshooting and/or looking the network center? What does it say? Do you know the router password is correct and being typed in correct?

Try googling laptop modem won't connect to the internet w/the laptop deets.
