How I Met Your Mother

I don't know why I keep torturing myself. It's not going to get better and even if it did, it's still ruined in unfixable ways. But I can't let go of the characters. I've never been so emotionally invested in any other TV characters. I love them. I need them. I can't leave them. I won't leave them until they leave me. Not even it hurts me to look at them these days.

*snort* I feel like a horrible trivializing piece of shit for saying it, but the chorus of "Love the way you lie" is basically verbatim my exact attitude towards more pieces of serial fiction that let me down than I can count.
