When I was a kid I had a lot of strange BDSM fantasies that seemingly came out of nowhere. My parents were pretty conservative so they never let me watch any movies or see tv shows or read books with sex in them or and never gave me "the talk". I didn't even really know what sex entailed until years later junior high so I worried about where I had gotten all that stuff from.

I guess I always wondered if maybe I was just secretly a horrible sexual deviant and I just didn't know it, so I'm actually really glad to hear that this is a thing other people went through, too. Makes me feel a lot better.

i feel so much better too! hell i'd half-forgotten about my weird BDSM stuff i went through as a kid because i assumed it was still weirdly shameful and weird (but now that i think about it a kid or two i talked to at the time expressed similar thoughts, so maybe this is a weirdly common thing? i wonder WHY though. maybe some one's done a study on it... or not. because that'd probably be a super weird study to do without coming across as a creep)

I got "the talk" when I was about 9, so my fantasies predated that by a bit...I don't know, I don't think they have to come from anywhere, they just...are. And there shouldn't be any shame to them. Ugh, I just want to round everyone up and give them a big hug.
