Okay, so my fantasies were about a mixed sex group of children my own age, but...

I think it's a lot more common than we're led to believe. For a long time I thought there was something really genuinely wrong with me, because it's so ingrained that children simply do not have sexual thoughts or inclinations (however undeveloped they are at that age) unless some sort of sexual abuse has occurred, which didn't happen to me even one iota.

I won't go off on a rant, but...I mean, it's kind of fucked up that there's so many of us that have deep-seated shame over something so innocuous as having fantasies as children, isn't it?

well i'm an adult now and therefore i have no need to share with them any bondage type stuff, but they do know i'm openly bi and they were a bit weird about it at first, but are very supportive now (they've softened up and gotten a lot more liberal over the last few years)

Haha, I have no idea where mine ended up. I know I hid them in a box of hieroglyph rubber stamps that I had, but I don't know what happened to that box. I can only pray we didn't donate them to Goodwill or something, ahahaha. Wouldn't that be a surprise to take home.

same. most sexual fantasies start VERY early without the knowledge or understanding of what they are. it's very common. masturbating without that cognitive connection is common too... hell girls start masturbating sooner than boys on average. the clit is a strange thing and when it's touched on anything it kinda feels good so they just kind of... go with it. not realizing that has ANYTHING at all to do with sex until much, much later. it's not weird or bad.

I suppose putting it that way I was masturbating a bit earlier than 11, true. That was more just the point where I was like whoa that feels really good let's see what happens if I keep going o hai orgasm.

It did take me a while to realize that all of it was a totally normal thing; that was a lot of uncertainty and shame I wish I could take back. It's terrible that we don't have a more open dialogue about these things with our kids.

I'm glad to read this comment. When I was really, REALLY young I used to masturbate, though it wasn't out of sexual desire, I had no idea what I was doing -- it just felt good. Looking back now it's kind of embarrassing and I've wondered if there was something wrong with me since I started getting off at such an early age. Reading this makes me feel better about the whole situation.

Aah, I'm happy I could make you feel better! You weren't strange at all, I think it's a lot more common than we're led to believe. We were perfectly healthy children enjoying a fantasy that made us feel good.

When I was a kid I had a lot of strange BDSM fantasies that seemingly came out of nowhere. My parents were pretty conservative so they never let me watch any movies or see tv shows or read books with sex in them or and never gave me "the talk". I didn't even really know what sex entailed until years later junior high so I worried about where I had gotten all that stuff from.

I guess I always wondered if maybe I was just secretly a horrible sexual deviant and I just didn't know it, so I'm actually really glad to hear that this is a thing other people went through, too. Makes me feel a lot better.
