Re: Shows you used to love but now hate
(Anonymous) 2013-04-27 12:35 am (UTC)(link)I say half-backwards because while I've come to despise the Moffat era more and more the longer it's gone on, back in the RTD era I used to simply think the show was an entertaining family affair that was an easy venue for me to get my double whammy fix of cracky sci-fi fun and emotional heroin. But voicing my complaints about Moffat and discussing them with others have made me see things about the RTD era that I wasn't really conscious of before, but were now conspicuous by their absence, and which made me appreciate that part of the show way, way, way more deeply than I used to.
And it spurred me into watching Classic Who as well, which is amazing and jesus fuck where has it been all my life.
So...thanks, Moffat, for showing me an excellent example of "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone", huh?
