I have few objections to him being called A feminist. I think some of his fans go overboard in making him THE big feminist of SF&F or comics, when there's a lot of awesome work and authors who are a few steps ahead of him in that line (not all of them women.) It's not the kind of stuff that TV and studio wonks are willing to gamble on, and the results probably wouldn't be very pretty for most works.

(Not to mention I still have a bit of a grudge for an ugly and chronically late run on Runaways, and the whole Kitty Pryde thing.)
