Re: fic pet peeves
- Very bad grammar. It's okay of there are a few typo's, but if it looks like it's written by a grade schooler...no thanks.
- blatant self-inserts (especially if it's also first person).
- in slash, if being bottom is characterized as being degrading (unless it's specifically kinky fic).
- Mpreg and pregnancy fic in general.
- Redundant side characters in what's basically smut fic, especially if it's a character trying to "get in the way" of sex/relationship.
- Fucked up characters instantly become nice or happy because of luuuuv.
- Drawn-out scenes about jealousy
Re: fic pet peeves
I'm kinda curious about this one--I'm sorta writing a thing wherein outsiders (of the 'trying deliberately to be offensive' variety) perceive one character as being the submissive one all the time and degrade him for that, but the relationship is actually equal and not in any way like that. Were you referring to that sort of thing, or where the narrative does it?
Re: fic pet peeves
I have no idea what your fic is...if it makes sense in the universe you're writing, it might be fine.
Re: fic pet peeves
I like to think I write things that make sense! Usually.
