Oh, I hate that! Nothing is worse than an NC-17/Explicit rating and tons of UST, build-up, and foreplay, only to fade to black or jump ahead with a mention that they had sex, usually because the author is "not good at writing sex". A story with UST should always have on-page RST, even if it's at the very end. If you can't do that, just stick to kissing. Don't write about him getting hard, her getting wet, them wanting to rip each other's clothes off, then punk out on the actual sex.

I don't get why people read fics labelled UST and then complain about it. Also explicit rating doesn't have to be there because of sex people.
