Always? I'm not sure that's normal. Maybe you should see a therapist? There are methods to try to cut down on obsessive thoughts.

Which only matters if the thoughts are disturbing to/unwanted by the person having them, or interfere with their activities of daily life. If neither of these are the case, then "normal" can jump in a lake.
