Re: Do you prefer long fics or short?

That's how I am, too. There's this weird threshold where a lot of good writers seem to end up writing a lot of short things, so they end up learning how to condense and plot a lot better for the long haul.

Nothing on writers who aren't standing on the threshold of professionalism, but but if I'm going to sit and read novellas and novel-length fic, it really has to hook me; quality and rarepairs are the two things that commonly make me do that.

Otherwise I'm all about quick, relatively succinct highs.
