You can shit in public bathrooms female or not. Go do it when you need to. I'm female and if I can, I will in a public bathroom, even my work's bathroom; don't care that much. It doesn't matter. Everyone's human. Just be courteous and keep flushing every so often to keep the smell down. If it really bothers you, keep a small can of lysol or something on hand and spray it, I guess?

I walked into a stinky, poopy smelling bathroom at Sam's warehouse today. Eh. Whatever. If you gotta go, you gotta go.

Exactly. And isn't it not good to hold it in anyway? Maybe it's just me, but I can't stand the feeling of needing to take a shit, so I go. Yeah, some public bathrooms stink, but they're public bathrooms.

Nope, resisting the urge leads to constipation if you keep doing it; doing it a lot can lead to problems w/taking a shit later on--your body stops feeling the urge so much and there lies trouble that way w/constipation, bloating, etc. My IBS system doesn't like it--holding it in--at all. Occasionally is fine. Resisting a lot is not.

Personally, shit smell in a bathroom doesn't bother me that much (it still stinks but I can live with it) cause I know that's what the damn bathroom is FOR.

Depends on how strong the smell is for me: sometimes I have to breathe really shallowly, sometimes it's okay, sometimes I have to wait to let the smell clear out (at home and in public bathrooms, I just get more shopping done first). But, yeah, that's what bathrooms are for; you just gotta deal with it. I used to work in a wastewater/water analysis laboratory that was located next to the large scale compost area--I think it killed my sense of smell (sewer water is bad enough, compost smell in summer in TX is really bad, but the grit smell when I had to analyze it was so ungodly foul that I never did get used to it) for a while, but it's back now.

The two worst smells in the entire world I've ever had to deal with (so bad I almost puked):

- A Mennonite sorghum mill we went to on a field trip in elementary school. That stuff smells FOUL when it's being processed into molasses

- Paper mills, I've mostly smelled these driving through Pine Bluff on my way to Little Rock
