She's not a bad person because she didn't love her husband's bastard. She's a bad person because she abandoned all of her OTHER children except, for some reason, Robb... the one kid she had who REALLY DID NOT NEED HER THERE. Meanwhile, the toddler goes feral, she just gives the fuck up on her comatose cripple kid, and for all she CLAIMS to want her daughters back, her behavior certainly does not reflect an attitude of giving any fucks about them.

She just... my god, she sucks so hard.

Because they are certainly not the books that I read.

Catelyn leaves her sons in Winterfell (where Robb still was) in order to try to pursue justice for Bran. Robb leaves his brothers at Winterfell in order to go to war.

Catelyn's choice at that point is a) stay with your 14 year old who is starting a war that he basically can't win or b) go home to your two younger children who are safe and far away from the fighting.

She wanted to be with Bran and Rickon, but the son who was fighting a war needed her more at that time. How do you think that he DIDN'T need her there?

And Catelyn is the ONLY one who does anything for Arya and Sansa. She urges Robb to trade Jaime for his sisters at the beginning of ACOK, but he refuses to do so. And then after she gets word of Bran and Rickon's death, she takes matters into her own hands and attempts to arrange a trade on her own.
