This secret just reminded me of how this scene takes place in a room with walls made of thin foil that you can just punch through. Always cracked me up.

I thought the idea was that she was really fucking strong...

Actually I think the implication is that they were steel or something and, as the perfect being, Leeloo was just that strong that she could punch through them. Just before that she'd punched straight through glass another character had said was unbreakable.

I thought so too, but that doesn't make it any less funny. The way she smashes through the wall and it falls apart like it's made out of paper or something equally flimsy. It's hilarious.

ayrt, yeah, I've always rolled my eyes a bit at that, those walls were a particularly low-budget effect.

I always though the walls were just some kind of weird insulation rather than steel - aren't they kind of weird and fuzzy where she rips through?
