This secret just reminded me of how this scene takes place in a room with walls made of thin foil that you can just punch through. Always cracked me up.

Actually I think the implication is that they were steel or something and, as the perfect being, Leeloo was just that strong that she could punch through them. Just before that she'd punched straight through glass another character had said was unbreakable.

I thought so too, but that doesn't make it any less funny. The way she smashes through the wall and it falls apart like it's made out of paper or something equally flimsy. It's hilarious.

I always though the walls were just some kind of weird insulation rather than steel - aren't they kind of weird and fuzzy where she rips through?

You know that would indeed have been awesome if she'd been integrated with the glove.

(Now I want to go re-watch, because tiny pill > huge roast "Chee-kin good!" always makes me laugh and laugh.)

Oh, man, I love this movie. I saw it in the theater in the way back. The whole cast rocks.

I think they were deliberately going for an incongruity between the glove and Leeloo's eventual form - the shock of both the in-universe audience and the RL audience seems like it was part of the point. Whatever they/we were expecting, some warrior being or whatever, it wasn't this pint-sized, orange-haired bundle of violence and innocence.

That said, it might have been cool if she was a little more alien, yeah.

I love this movie, though. Gary Oldman was having way too much fun, everyone was snarking in every direction, and the scene on the station, the Diva kicking ass vocally overlaid over Leeloo kicking ass physically, is one of my favourite scenes in anything ever.

huh, I always thought she was an intergrated human version of an alien spieces, and the reason she doesn't keep the glove is because it was just the site of the donor DNA + some armor, and not an actual alien limb...
