Re: Foreign movies
Wake in Fright
Turkey Shoot (also known as Escape 2000)
Razorback
Long Weekend (both versions, but I prefer the original)
The Cars that Ate Paris (A very odd and kind of terrible movie, but also extremely interesting. I have the DVD with director interview and and I think you need to watch that interview after the movie. It made me both understand and appreciate the film more.)
The Plumber (On the same DVD as The Care that Ate Paris as an extra. This a better movie, imo.)
Mad Dog Morgan (featuring Dennis Hopper- based on a true story)
Walkabout
Movies I haven't seen but are on my list (I think all are Ozploitation )
Patrick
Stone
End Play
Night of Fear
Dark Forces
Thirst
Road Games
The Survivor
The Naked of Bunip
Inn of the Damned
Dead Inn Drive In
If you haven't seen the documentary 'Not Quite Hollywood,' I recommend that. I got a lot of ideas on what to start with from there.
Bonus: Actually a New Zealand Film
The Quiet Earth
