No, OP. You are wrong. Here's what you're doing. Follow me.

What everyone is asking for is a delicious golden butter cake, with chocolate frosting and whipped cream piped along the sides. You're making them that cake. You with me? You're making it, and then when you go to serve it, you puke all over it.

Naturally, everyone is upset and won't eat the cake. And you? You're saying, "But it's everything you asked for! You said you wanted golden butter cake! You said you wanted chocolate frosting! You said you wanted whipped cream! You're all just a bunch of hypocrites!"

Huge had fat people in it, which is cake. It made those fat people into a spectacle to be stared at because of their fatness, which is puke all over the cake.

And how much of your metaphorical puke is all over the pretty white boy shows? Shall we start with "a lot" and go up from there? Just admit you never actually wanted the cake.

What is your obsession with pretty white boys?

Besides, Huge had quite a few pretty white boys. Not like that show was full of uglies or anything, jeez.

You've given me an idea. HAY, OP! Cage match time! Who would you pick in a fight between a fat white boy and a pretty black boy? Assume that the white boy is also pretty, even though you keep speaking as if pretty and fat are mutually exclusive concepts.

you keep speaking as if pretty and fat are mutually exclusive concepts.

Oh good, someone else picked up on that too. Ugh @ OP.

Not OP, but you know, chiming in to say I'd probably end up shipping them (if they have chemistry) instead of making them fight to death.

Aestethically pleasing people can be found at any size and colour.

... And now I really need to find a ship like this one. The contrast makes it visually interesting in my head.

Nuh-uh, guy. Burden of proof is on you. Find a show about fat people that isn't a joke and get back to us.

Can't think of one with a central character whose fat, but Sookie from Gilmore Girls was treated great!

-Garcia on Criminal Minds. I don't personally like her, but that's a private idiosyncratic issue with a similar character and who 'got there first'. She's treated as pretty and fashionable, and her love life gets more attention than that of most other characters on the show.

-Donal Logue, on ER and Terriers. Weight was a complete non-issue, he was just treated as a regular guy. The writing made it plain that he was supposed to be considered attractive (and this particular viewer heartily agreed), and he got plenty of sexy-leading-man action.

Doesn't hurt that Garcia is fucking drop dead gorgeous - she's not just written that way, they actually found an actress who's actually fat and actually gorgeous and it's beautiful.

Yeah. I'm gay and I really hate that LGTB characters are often just put in a show to have a coming out plot, a discrimination plot or being the target of a shit ton of stereotype jokes.
Just because I want more LGTB representation doesn't mean I want characters that are only defined by their LGTBness.

That's why I mostly end up headcanoning random characters as gay that are never said to be gay in-canon. They just offer more to me.

Drop Dead Diva.

Huge isn't a joke though. It takes the characters seriously.

Are you just willfully ignoring the bit where a lot of people don't want to watch a show about fat people *where being fat is a central part of the plot* as opposed to a show with people doing whatever it is they're doing in that particular genre - who also happen to be fat.
