If you want more people to know about this show, maybe its title should be included in the secret. It doesn't look like something I would watch because everyone in the picture looks happy.

I can't speak for fandom, but I would like a show with strong, complex female characters, dudes who might make out with each other, and giant robots.

Gundam SEED? Most of the plot focused on the child soldiers (which gives you a few dudes who might kiss), but I was watching mostly for Natarle Badgiruel, Murrue Ramius, Mu La Flaga, Rau Le Creuset, Andy Waltfeld ... Um. Basically the adult cast, which gave me giant robots, crazy-ass genocidal maniacs, one tragic canon het romance, one extremely politically and militarily complicated femslash pair, cloning blues, ace pilots, potential clone-cest ... Lots of good stuff.

One of the things I like about Gundam SEED is that the adults aren't just assholes like in other shows one could mention (Evangelion).

I've never watched Evangelion. Most things I've heard about it say it went from 'angsty' over into 'soul-crushing', and I can do without that.

SEED, though. I loved Natarle with a passion, I loved the conflict and resolution between her and Murrue, I loved Mu and Murrue, I loved Andy and everyone. The adults made it for me. (Admittedly, mostly Murrue and Natarle, but I'm like that).

Fullmetal Alchemist has complex female characters and pretty dudes (they don't make out on screen but they do in fanfic). No giant robots but steampunk-style prosthetic limbs, alchemy, and a lot of heavy fighting.

(Also it's only like, 8 hours worth of show)
