When the main character in an action/fighting/war focused plot has tons of battles, but never ever kills anyone. In the end the villain changes sides, dies from something else or sacrifices themselves for whatever reason.

ugh, this. I know they're kids shows, but come on...they're learning superpowers that can change the landscape and stuff. Throwing that crap around, someone has to die eventually.
