Have you ever tried talking to her about fandom/fanfiction?

If not, before you show her your fics, open the dialogue about that. Get her used to and understanding of the idea before you bring your own creations into it. That way it is easier for you to gauge if this is the kind of person who will take fanfics serious enough to read them properly (and not all writers are) plus it'll probably give her some time to wrap her mind around the idea of people writing fanfic.
