That site is STILL invite-only. I was able to ask an IRL friend with an account to invite me, but many authors aren't so lucky. That alone keeps out your just-starting-to-fic fan, and cuts down on the chance for bad!fic.
Posting anything not HP at Skyehawke can be like shouting into the void. Avengers, Sherlock and other live-action fic earn some attention, but everything else, like manga, and game fandoms? You're almost invisible. I'm overjoyed when I see I've earned ONE hit on a fic mirrored there.
I wanted in to Skyehawke because I'd read a LOT of great HP fic there over the years, and the anime fics I tried were usually quite good, too. I wanted to play with the veterans! But in the end, the site just doesn't attract the (non-HP) traffic.
I'm still going to post there. I do like the site! And with the tiny collection of fics in the genres I write to, it makes my own easier to find. Can't argue with that. ^^
I'd certainly welcome more (non-HP) fic at Skyehawke. But as long as new accounts there are so difficult to obtain, it isn't going to happen.

If you still want an account, I can try to verify you! I don't know if it will work, but the page for it loads. PM me, if you're interested. ^^
