Certain events give me cause to believe that Yamamoto is way more aware of what's really going on than he lets on.

Care to share? I'm never quite sure what's going on in his tiny mind. Although events in the current arc does make it seem like he caught on at some stage.

Damn, I love Yamamoto Daddy. D:

Well, mostly I'm thinking of when he went to his dad and was all "HEY SUP TEACH ME KENDO? :D"

Because I mean. We can tell from earlier in the scene that his dad intentionally doesn't do any of it when he's around to see it, you know? If he's perceptive enough to pick up on that, I find it really odd that he wouldn't catch on to the fact that oh, people are really trying to kill us and this isn't just a game. So I think he's playing dumb to...cut the tension, I guess?

THIS IS JUST MY PET THEORY, THOUGH.

True. But I wonder ... because he did refuse the rain ring at first, and it just seemed to be because he wasn't the type for jewellery. I think Yamamoto's bizarre attitude towards baseball kind of got in the way of noticing that people went overboard in the inter-school mafia roleplay. He has no room to throw stones when it comes to taking games too seriously. So I think it sank in slowly, and got solidified when the ring battles started, particularly when Squalo was basically left to die.

Mm, this is true.

I definitely wouldn't call him dense, either way, though. XD
