Yamamoto's pretty high on my list of favorites, for completely un-slashy reasons.

I don't mind that people love YamaGoku, but I kind of headdesked one day when I was going through my 4chan folders and realized I had gazillions of pictures of Yamamoto with Gokudera, and like...five of him by himself.

Weeeell, not all of it, but speaking as a gay man I find myself extraordinarily creeped out sometimes by what a lot of these people honestly believe gay relationships are like. "OMG THERE IS A SEME AND AN UKE AND IT NEVER CHANGES AND OF COURSE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BEDROOM AFFECTS EVERY ASPECT OF THEIR LIVES AND THE UKE IS ALWAYS THE SHORTER ONE AND SEMES ARE ALWAYS MEAN AND HORRIBLE PEOPLE AND THERE ARE NO OTHER KINDS OF GAY PEOPLE AT ALL." It can get pretty damn skin-crawly, especially when people start getting into shipping wars based entirely on who tops.

022. I agree. I think it's so vicious because a lot of people in the fandom don't want to think of themselves as in fandom, so they cut down the fanfic writers, and anyone who asks questions. When I was in HP fandom, people were wanky, yeah, but they were also friendly and helpful, which the people in VB fandom just aren't. It's why I try to help people out in venturebrothers.

There's no reason for us to be mean to each other, we all love the same show. :(
