LOL, saw the picture and totally braced myself for some hateful opinion. Love her.

To each their own, but I don't get the hate for her Katniss. I'm pretty sure she was well-received, even applauded in the role by most reviews - I personally think she was the best part of the movie. Was there a particular thing she did that you didn't like in that role, or just in general?

Watch this (and some of Mainstay Pro's other HG films), and see how Katniss SHOULD have been done. I couldn't believe JL's Katniss - she was bland and sulky. She spent most of her time glaring, and when she wasn't glaring, she was pouting/sulking. I wanted more of the careers/adult actors, as I felt I could engage with them. Katniss... I just wanted to slap.

THIS. She's over-rated, over-exposed, unprofessional, boorish, and generally gross.

As Katniss she rather grew on me, and by the end of HG I felt she really "made" the character for me. Ditto Josh Hutcherson as Peeta.

Or she is just going to end up as Jennifer Tilly.

Or Mira Sorvino.

Or Anna Paquin.

I do like when one of the press mentioned that to her right after her win and she was like, "Jesus, dude. Way to be a buzzkill." She answered him gracefully but her reaction face was funny.

I love Jennifer, too. She's one of the few actors/actresses that I'll go out of my way to watch a film for.

I love her, too. Her voice, her acting, and her overall attitude. She is my forever Katniss~

i really, really enjoy her. fantastic screen presence, good range, only redeemable part of like crazy and burning plain.

but i fear for her shelf life. i've said this several times before, but i do think she'll age like renee zellweger.

I hope her popularity fizzles out. She's every annoying, ignorant Tumblr user rolled into one.

I couldn't care less about Jennifer Lawrence, but if you like her, more power to you, OP.

Just one thing: "how many amazing characters she'll bring us in the future"? It's the writers that create amazing female characters, not the actors. Acting is important and everything, but it's ultimately who thinks up the character that gives us the character. The actor merely follows instructions on how the character should be. The actor plays a part in bringing the character to the screen, but that's all they do. It's really the writer(s) you have to thank for the "amazing characters" they bring you.

She seems like a wonderful person, but I find her highly overrated as an actress.
