(Anonymous) 2013-05-04 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)But otherwise, yeah. I definitely love crossdressing.
But I think I like it more when the people whi engage in it stay themselves and don't try to create a character. I love it when guys use eyeliner and make-up and wear high-heeled boots and I love it when women wear baggy jeans, vests and hats for men.
I always have the feeling as soon as they try to create a character it drifts into mocking the gender you're "playing". That's also the reason I'm not particularly fond of Drag Queens :/

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)I enjoy committing to androgyny. I rarely wear button-down shirts on their own because I think I look like a stereotypical dyke (I am, I just don't have the stereotypical wardrobe) and a frumpy one at that; but if I wore it with a blazer and tie, it somehow comes back to a sexy androgynous place.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 02:08 am (UTC)(link)Incidentally, as a gay women, the BBC adaptation of Tipping the Velvet was all kinds of perfect for me! A great lesbian story, and bonus male impersonator female character!

This is why I'm sad my own videos were never very successful. Oh well, it's ALMOST as gratifying confusing the fuck out of fandom just by being myself as Kyle's artist. XD

(Anonymous) 2013-05-05 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)Lots of people do art for TGWTG. No need to be all "omg I know them" all the time. It makes you look like a dumb stan and I know you aren't.
