I always kinda think, "hey, maybe I should get into that" because I like reading fanfic, but I also need to Get Work Done, and audio things work better for me because of that.

But I've been spoiled. Between James Marsters' reading of the Dresden Files and fantastic radio plays like Black Jack Justice, I am way too picky. I couldn't get through all of the ASoIaF audio books because I hated the way that guy read the characters. So I don't know if the average girl reading her way through a Clint/Coulson fic is really gonna work for me.

And let's not even talk about the smutty bits. Bad enough when the ASoIaF tried to narrate those parts.

A good half of my trouble with the ASOIAF audiobooks is the way the narrator plays the female and/or baddie characters.

It's been a good year+ since I was listening, but I remember HATING his Tyrion with a burning passion (and Tyrion was my favorite character--so original--and I had a very precise idea of how he should sound, and it wasn't like a querulous old Irish man), his Theon, Aisha, and Ygritte. Ugh.
