I don't know what drama's been spinning lately tbh. I've been out of it for a while. Other than Paranatural people preemptively flipping out on other fans for being too fandomy (and that's mostly just the /co/ section tbh. idgaf about the forums.). The self policing is a bit annoying?

Also, good on that Ackles guy. I was at Calgary Comic Expo last weekend, and Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard had annoying shipper people in the audience asking stupid questions. GDI.

I've heard (although just on Tumblr, so take it with a grain of salt) that Creation is going to ban shipping questions across the board at all future cons. This actually makes me happy, since that shit gets really old, really fast. I can't even imagine how tired the actors must be of answering the same ship-related question over and over and over again. And I say this as someone who ships a lot of things in SPN.

I don't really get it myself.

You have this option to ask the actors/creators an amazing question about the story/characters/behind the scenes

...so you ask about shipping. Which is generally onscreen and canon. Asking about sexuality I can see, relevant to life, but specifically shipping? urgh no fandom should not be involved in this, fandom should squee over it afterwards not invade the question time
