I have a long commute to work and I like listening to podfic to get me through that hell. But since there's little to none available in my fandom, I record my own- even record some of my own stories that lend themselves to reading aloud. I'm not a great reader and I'm still figuring out the technical end, but what choice do I have when no one else is reading my pairings?

I can see why people wouldn't care for it-reading aloud well is a real talent, but otoh, if you commute two hours a day, it can be a lifesaver.
