My first reaction to reading Twilight was the urge to rewrite it. Y'know, where the characters have actual chemistry and there's logic behind their actions and they're actually LIKABLE people. Because yeah, the potential is there, but it was executed really poorly. But then I decided that I have better things to do.

That was pretty much my reaction as well. I read the next book hoping the poor execution was a fluke and after the 1st was successful she'd get some decent editors. Nope, it got worse and as more characters/lore were introduced and promptly ignored or turned out to be one dimensional pancakes I got more disappointed at the wasted potential. I don't lose sleep over it or anything, but it was kind of annoying.
