I'm a little surprised that the OP thinks Bo/Dyson is the writers' endgame. I've only seen the first two seasons, but I got the definite impression that Bo/Lauren was where they were headed. Did things change that much in S3?

Personally I like Dyson (and I adore Dyson/Kenzi in a platonic big brother little sister kind of way). I'm not totally sure I like Bo and Dyson together, but...it doesn't help that I'm not much of a fan of Lauren. I know she's hugely popular but I'm just not seeing it I guess. Need a third option I think. Maybe this Tamsin character?

Without totally spoiling it, yes, S3 totally got heavy handed with Bo/Dyson 4evaz.

Tamsin has a shit ton of chemistry with Bo and I thought they were heading in that direction for a while until, you know, not.

yeah it's like the writers or some one listened to handful of loud Bo/Dyson shippers and RUINED her and Lauren's relationship so they could burn that bridge in a ridiculous manner so Dyson will be all she has left. Then Tamsin ended up having amazing chemistry with Bo and BAM!!! Nope she was totes evil the whole time! Or dying! EITHER WAY, DYSON IS END GAME OMGGGG

Whatever, just put Hale/Kenzi together and I'll grit my teeth and ignore Dyson as best I can

Nah, I think the writers were (unfortunately) going Bo/Dyson from the beginning. They just broke 'em up in season two for teh dramas. I liked Dyson okay the first two seasons, but there was some serious character assassination in season three, just so you know.

And yes, Tamsin in the best option.

ITA

Once they did the whole 'Dyson sacrifices his love for Bo' thing, I knew they were endgame. I think the only reason they've been kept apart this long is because Bo/Lauren became a rather popular ship and the writers decided to milk that as long as they could until the Bo/Dyson fans could no longer handle it and they had to back-track.

Also, no matter how much the new showrunner Emily Andras wants to pretend she's all over Bo/Lauren and play to the fans on that, fact is she is and always has been a huge (Bo/)Dyson fan. If Michelle Lovretta was still running the show, I'd be more willing to believe in Bo/Lauren endgame since she seems to be the only one who writes them well and with care. But with Emily, I'd say it's a sure shot Bo/Dyson will be endgame for the series. It was really heavy-handed in S3.

And the way it was expressed made me strongly dislike Dyson (who I did like as a character before) and Trick, who was just plain awful in S3. And Lauren was just written terribly from about the midway point onwards except, surprise surprise, in Lovretta's episode. It was not a strong backhalf of the season imo.

I don't care much for the Bo/Tamsin dynamic either. It was so random and just too convenient. (Gotta break Bo/Lauren up!) I'm not denying the actresses play well together, but as a legit pairing? I don't feel it at all. Never did.
