(Anonymous) 2013-05-07 03:11 am (UTC)(link)Somewhere inside Regina there is a traumatized teenage abuse victim sitting all alone in the dark, crying, and doing what all abused teenagers do; which is try to control their surroundings. And every time she fucks up and harms others, she ends up retreating further into that cycle of behavior out of guilt and fear. That is classic behavior pattern for abuse victims who end up replicating their abuse. Do something to exercise control, see that fall apart and end up hurting everyone around, devise a way to exercise more control because it "stands to reason" (note: it does not really, but the human psyche is an odd duck at best) that the reason everything screwed up last time was the lack of personal control.
She doesn't need hate (although I admit she does need stopping), she needs therapy and probably institutionalized in-patient therapy at that.
