I've had a few people at cons ask me where I got something I was wearing and every time it was something I had made. I told them that and I never thought that they might then feel bad about not knowing, or feeling like a "noob" I would never want that because I felt flattered that something I had made was awesome enough to be mistaken for factory made and be asked about.

So as far as that goes I don't think the person thought you were a noob or anything like that. And if they did, it just means that they're not that great of a person and you should take to heart what they think about you at all.

I was going to say this. I'd be super flattered if someone thought some shit I made was so good looking that they wanted to know where I got it (maybe so they could get one for themselves, too). :D Fandom or no, man, last time I went to Ohayocon I didn't know who half of anyone was. I recognized some Homestucks running around but I think at the time I was still calling it Homestruck so who even knows. :P

Fandom is supposed to be fun. If you're having fun? You're doin' fandom right. IMO!

This is an awesome comment and you should feel good about yourself. Also, great job making amazing stuff that gets mistaken fro factory made :)

This! I'm always super flattered when people assume I bought something that I made. I feel all professional and shit. :D
