There are several options here but none of them will probably be to your liking.

a. You can stay away from the fandom until you read the books, then dive in once you know there's nothing book-related left to be spoiled for
b. You can watch the show, not read the books, and continue staying out of the fandom in order to avoid spoilers (though I was spoiled early in the first season just by reading the comments section in an article about the show so its possible to be spoiled even when you don't actively engage with the fandom)
c. You can play in the fandom without reading the books and accept the you're going to be spoiled for things and you just have to deal with it
