I swear if she was a guy and Peeta was a girl, people would praise Katniss up and down and hate Peeta.

I think if Katniss was a guy and Peeta a girl, it would pretty much be your standard story structure, and everyone would say, 'why can't we have something different?'

So instead, when we have a hard Katniss and an empathetic Peeta, people come out of the woodwork to say, 'I don't like her, she's mean. And also, she doesn't bounce back in the heroically heroic way the heroes always do in stories.'

Just can't win.
