That pretty much sums up my opinion of Katniss as well. Also, I think she had a pretty severe case of PTSD starting from when her father died and which only got worse over the course of the series.

As some one with PTSD, I agree wholeheartedly. Hell the books were hard to read at times because it all felt so painfully familiar.
