Re: Songs that kinda piss you off

Any love song wherein the singer declares their undying love for someone else, and tells them they can`t live without them. I get that it`s supposed to be romantic, but to me it sounds creepy, desperate, and pathetic. Can`t live without your girl/boyfriend? Seriously? You don`t have family/friends/hobbies/goals in life? A purpose and/or beliefs that supercede your attachment to a single person? That`s fucking depressing.

Also, "Your Body is a Wonderland" because it sounds creepy as shit. Also anything by the Barenaked Ladies or the Stone Temple Pilots because I find the lead singers` voice grating.

To the first part: I heard Leann Rimes' 'How Do I Live Without You' the other day, for the first time in idk years? When I was younger I thought it was kind of sweet, but now it sounds quite desperate and/or borderline creepy. I find I react to other songs like that the same way, too.

Same. I used to not mind those songs when I was younger, but after experiencing those feelings and encountering the kind of desperate, co-dependent people who truly "can't live without" their significant other, they've soured.
