(Anonymous) 2013-05-10 05:32 am (UTC)(link)You know, "disaffection" is not one of those words that has any use as a descriptor whatsoever when it's removed from its context. "Manipulative bastardry" is a trait that has a specific meaning. "Disaffection" is not. What disaffection? And disaffection with what? When you're trying to communicate information to someone directly in a conversation, rather than simply putting it into words on your journal for your own sake, you have to actually give people an idea of what you're referring to. Because they don't live inside your head and don't know the particulars of your opinions and interpretations of the show/characters.
Sorry for the rant. This, how do I say, style of commenting kind of just hit a limit for me after enduring a lot of people in fandom causing random wank by trundling around with their heads shoved up their own asses ogling at all the pretentious insular personal meta they've got up there.
