I think it's nice. I don't think spoiler warnings should only be for "new" things -- people watch/read things for the first time every day, and it sucks to get spoiled just because others assume that it's common knowledge solely 'cause of its age.

I kind of agree. I'm not a big fan of Lois in general and the more times I watch these movies, the more annoying her flat-out stupidity gets. On that note, Clark doesn't exactly hold up well, either. At this point, I only watch them for Lex and Zod.

Yeah, I gotta say that all the movie incarnations of Lois <<<<<<<<< comics!Lois. Even Silver Age!comics!Lois was at least ballsy and insane.

Its bad enough there is a "spoilers" section on a comm which warns for spoilers at the top of every post, but putting "spoiler warnings" on a movie from 35 years ago? Give me a break.

What's so bad about having a spoilers section? It comes in very handy, it's helped me personally avoid quite a lot of spoilers I didn't want to see, and it doesn't inconvenience anyone in any way. It isn't necessary, and people who don't warn for spoilers aren't breaking any rules, but it's still definitely useful and a nice thing to have.

I am very curious to know why you think the spoilers section is bad. Please. I really can't think of a reason, so I want to know your reasoning.

She's a better, more fleshed out character than almost 90% of female characters in blockbusters these days. 1978 Lois Lane is awesome.

I agree. But then again, my first Lois was Terri Hatcher. I don't even like the movie version of Superman all that much. Blasphemy, I know. I still like the movies for nostalgia reasons, but they definitely don't represent my versions of the characters.

Agreed. Well, except about liking the movies. I haven't seen a Superman movie yet that I really cared for. So there's even more blasphemy for you. :(

Teri Hatcher was my first Lois too, and she'll always be Lois in my head.

Since i never read the comics, this is the only Lois Lane i've ever known, and I loved her, loved him, loved the movie. I was 11 when this came out and she was AWESOME. Also, i like the actress a lot, so.....

To each their own.

And - just cause everyone else is weighing in - i think the spoiler warning is nice.

Yeah, I'm in the camp that thinks spoilers aren't necessary after a couple of decades, but I'm just excited to see a secret for this movie! So much childhood nostalgia! I'm kind of neutral on Margot Kidder's Lois Lane---maybe she needed more development? I feel like one of that movie's biggest flaws is that the pace is rather cumbersome in the first half and then too much screentime is spent on that weird villainous comic relief plot with Lex running around with his minions in California and/or Metropolis' sewers, at the expense of Clark-and-Lois/Superman-and-Lois interaction. I don't like seeing Lois buried alive, though. I guess I can see why you might, though, if you really dislike the character.
