(Anonymous) 2013-05-10 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)That sounded really familiar but I couldn't quite place it until I looked it up on Ao3 and was like "Yep, I've definitely scrolled past this before". I mean, "Twist and Shout is the story of the love transcending time, returning over and over in its many forms, as faithful as the sea"? Come the fuck on. No
OT comment is OT
(Anonymous) 2013-05-11 12:36 am (UTC)(link)Can somebody please explain to me what this means, because the sea changes every fucking day, and all I can think is that it's referring to the tides going in and out all the time, but then you're just saying that your partner leaves you all the time but always comes back, and that just doesn't really seem like a ringing endorsement for said relationship, y'know?
I don't understand this simile.

(Anonymous) 2013-05-11 01:46 am (UTC)(link)I could go on, but I work at a hardware store, so I think these will just get more and more obscure...

(Anonymous) 2013-05-11 12:02 am (UTC)(link)I've tried to read it and never gotten through the whole thing because I kept getting bored. It feels like it's vague approximations of SPN characters transplanted into a Deep and Meaningful book with Themes Of The Times. --Which is fine as far as it goes. It didn't seem badly written to me.
Maybe they're comparing it because of the attempts to be Deep and Meaningful and Educational?
