There must be something about professors. My former German professor is the friendliest person I've met in my entire life. No lie, I have never once seen him get upset. He smiles 24/7 and you can just tell it's genuine. Plus, he's so excited about his subject and for his students to learn, and is super flexible about things. He worked with me outside of class on an independent study every single semester.

It's always awesome when someone is passionate about what they teach. It makes you excited too, even if the subject isn't really your thing.
