I'm sorry a few of the fandoms you listed on there can be so ... um... well, very bulldozer-y and plow through fandoms without regard to continuity and respect for fellow fans in their targeted fandom. I haven't seen it happen myself, but I can easily imagine it happening.

Please accept this sane Whovian's apology for what the more erratic, batshit members have done to your fandom. :(

No need to apologize for other people's stupid behaviour!
Whenever I see fandoms doing crazy stuff (like sending fanfic/RPF to the actors or getting mad at them for having girlfriends), I always think it must be tough being a more "moderate" fan, and having their voice drowned out. I admire people who still manage to enjoy fandom without letting the madness of a few ruin their fun.
