Half of it doesn't make sense.

And there's so many permutations of the stupid idea that I can't even block enough of it. I really wish more fandom members were "No-Touch-Iterians."

but as to an answer, usually the answer is... teenagers/autistics/autistic teenagers.

Meh. I don't like them too much. I can only handle crossovers of 2 fandoms (maybe 3 on a good day). But I am also not bothered by it. A lot of them are terribly clever!

Too many crossovers and the fucks I can give drop down to nil. It annoys me to see it but not to an immense degree. Buuut that was before I knew Homestuck and The Hobbit were being sucked in. :|

God, my bane on AO3. And then they add tags like "i dont even" and "why im not allowed jelly beans" to it.

Best you can say is that it's pretty obvious what to avoid.

I don't mind the idea of Superlock, because both involve mortals and I can actually see where each might be able to help each other, but once you involve high fantasy, superhumans, or Homestuck they just seem sort of useless. Unfortunately, most crossovers are very poorly executed.

Eh, I think the Onceler thing has died down considerably last time I checked (tbh I think you should have used 'Pony' for MLP instead, since that's still going), but yeah, I'm not really fond of mega-crossovers. If it's one or two shows, I can deal (still would love a well-done GLTAS/TMNT 2k12 crossover), but a smorgasboard is a huge turn-off.

I still do not understand the hateboner everyone seems to have for this crossover-verse. I'm not into it, and I'm not in most of the fandoms, but... honestly, what's so obnoxious? Sure, it's annoying when large numbers of people in your fandom are into something you don't like, but that happens with ships, with characters, kinks and popular AUs... just ignore it.

I might not be particularly interested in this crossover, but I definitely understand the "try to put as many of my favorite things together as possible!" thing, and I enjoy coming up with crossovers, so all the hate and scorn makes me a little uncomfortable tbh.

It doesn't bug me because I don't follow it at all (and somehow I don't see that much of it, despite being really into Marvel/Avengers lately), but it does seem to be an exercise in cramming everything into one. Which is kind of the point, but eh.

I'm still really confused as to how homestuck is in there.

As a fan of homestuck, and...follower of the superwhoavengemerhobbitlerlock people (a few good online friends, yeah), the part of the homestuck fandom I interact with hates most of the shows in that smashed-up name, and vice-versa.
